The former CEO of telecoms firm Comverse – declared a fugitive by the FBI earlier this year – has according to reports, been caught in Namibia.

The Wall Street Journal is reporting that Kobi Alexander is being held by Namibian officials pending extradition to the US.

Alexander and another Comverse executive were charged earlier this year with conspiracy to commit mail, wire and securities fraud by the US attorney’s office after revelations that he was involved in manipulating the company’s stock options.

He failed to show up in court and was last seen in Israel where he is a national.
