During the Green All-Optical Network Summit of the 8th Ultra-Broadband Forum (UBBF) 2022, Thanit Chaiyaboonthanit, Acting MD-FBB of AIS, delivered a speech titled “Exploring a New Blue Ocean of Home Broadband to Deliver Premium Digital Life Experience”. In the speech, he pointed out the future-oriented evolution directions of home networks: higher bandwidth, more connections, and lower latency. The concept of Fiber to Every Room with 1Gbps Every Room aligns perfectly with this trend, delivering premium digital life experiences.

Between 2015 and 2022, AIS Fibre has led the broadband user growth in Thailand. The strategy of AIS is very clear: Forward, Better, Simple, and Think First, Do First. While implementing this strategy, AIS found that FBB users’ service requirements are shifting from entertainment-centric to diversity-centric, requiring higher speed, wider coverage, and concurrency of more devices. AIS proactively identifies and prioritizes services of FBB networks and digital operations to provide guaranteed experiences.
To deliver premium digital life experiences, AIS provides intelligent ONTs to enable scenario-specific experiences and bring new benefits. In addition, AIS develops an experience management platform, providing 24/7 SLA guarantee for users

For future-oriented evolution, Thanit Chaiyaboonthanit proposed three network evolution directions: more than 1000 Mbps bandwidth, more than 100 connections, and less than 20 ms latency. The Fiber to Every Room Solution fully complies with the three directions and the future experience classification standards, enabling each family to have a high-bandwidth and full-coverage network.

Thanit Chaiyaboonthanit introduced the actual deployment of FTTR solution in a video, demonstrating the efficient installation capability of FTTR to operators.

Finally, Thanit Chaiyaboonthanit outlined the roadmap to transform home broadband services from scenario-specific broadband to digital broadband through home networks. As a home broadband provider, AIS will continuously cooperate with partners to provide high-quality digital life experiences for each home user.
