Julian Watson, Principal Analyst , Wholesale Telecoms, Omdia
Julian joined Omdia’s enterprise networks and wholesale team in January 2021. His research focuses on wholesale telecoms market dynamics and service provider strategies.

Between August 2016 and December 2020, Julian was a member of Omdia’s IoT connectivity and platforms team. In this role, Julian maintained and developed global IoT device forecasts and undertook syndicated and custom research in areas including cellular IoT gateways, edge computing in IoT, and 5G. Prior to this, Julian managed the legacy IHS Markit telecoms operator research team, which provided syndicated and custom research on quad-play bundling, telecoms regulation, fixed broadband, and VoIP. Julian joined Omdia in 1999 and has a Bachelor of Arts in politics, parliamentary studies, and Russian from the University of Leeds in England.

Will Rhodes, Carrier Managed Service (CMS) Ciena
Will helps Ciena’s Carrier Managed Service (CMS) and Service Provider partners bring new services to market that drive top and bottom-line growth. Once launched, he helps them monetise their investments through sales enablement and go-to-market activities.

He is passionate about helping partners differentiate their offerings, so they can position their unique value-add rather than a race to the bottom on price. His aim is to enable Ciena’s partners to be more successful.

During his time at Ciena, he has also held a Partner Enablement Consultant role, supporting partners and internal Ciena teams with all areas of training and enablement activities. Prior to joining Ciena, Will was a Consulting Director at GlobalData and held several commercial technology analyst roles.

He holds a BSc honors in Economics from the University of Sheffield.

Carl Peters, VP Solutions Engineering, ZayoCarl, originally from New Zealand, has a career in the technology industry spanning 25 years. During that time Carl has chalked up extensive experience in designing, engineering, and supporting IT and Telecoms networking solutions for both the enterprises and government sectors. This included supporting the New Zealand police force’s national network. Carl understands the internal network dynamics of enterprises as well as the telecom ecosystem and how telecom solutions best support enterprises as they evolve into the Cloud. Carl is also committed to developing the next generation of networking infrastructure talent and several of his team were nominated for Rising Star awards in 2023. 

James Evans, VP of Sales UK&I, Zayo
James is part of Zayo’s European and Global Senior Leadership teams and is responsible for customers and revenues within the UK&I. James joined Zayo in 2015 and has held various roles supporting the Hyperscale Cloud and Content, Data Centre, Managed Services and System Integrator sectors to build network infrastructure platforms that service their products and customers.

James has a robust knowledge of internet infrastructure, operations, and sales and knows how to develop infrastructure platforms that deliver his customer's long-term objectives.
