Hutch shareholders approve Vodafone sale

Shareholders of Hutchison Telecommunications International (HTIL) on Thursday approved the $11.1bn sale of a controlling stake in the firm to British operator Vodafone. The shareholders – representing a majority of HTIL shares – approved the deal at an extraordinary general meeting in Hong Kong.
