FreeMove expands to Greece and Bulgaria

Roaming partnership the FreeMove Alliance has expanded into southern and Eastern Europe with the addition of Cosmote in Greece and Globul in Bulgaria, which join existing members Deutsche Telekom, France Telecom Orange, TeliaSonera and Telecom Italia.

i-mode launches in Bulgaria

Bulgarian mobile operator Globul, a subsidiary of Greek carrier Cosmote, became the seventeenth company to launch i-mode services Monday. Cosmote itself launched i-mode, developed by leading Japanese operator NTT DoCoMo, in Greece in June 2004.
