Telenor launches localised Android app stores
Global mobile operator Telenor has teamed with Google to launch a personalised Android App store for its customers. Telenor will offer its Android users access to a portal within Android Market that contains a suite of apps tailored to the local market.

Vodafone has begun rolling out direct operator billing for apps sold through the Android Market, allowing users to charge purchases direct to their phone bill.
Google in spat with Taiwanese government
Taiwan’s Taipei City Government has accused Google of attempting “to hold Taiwan’s consumers hostage, in exchange for the privilege of refusing to follow Taiwanese law.” The accusation arises from a dispute between Google and Taiwanese regulators that has resulted in the suspension of all paid-for applications in the Android market in that country.
