Sony Ericsson shipments gather momentum during 2Q05

Swedish/Japanese joint venture Sony Ericsson today reported that net income for the quarter to end-June decreased Eur14 million (US$17 million) year on year, from Eur89 million in 2Q04 to Eur75 million in 2Q05. The vendor said the decrease was due to continued investment in R&D, but that sales increased 7% year on year from Eur1.5…
