UK mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) Virgin Mobile yesterday announced the expansion of its contract offering to the Phones 4u high street retailer and online shop.
The move extends the Virgin Mobile Pay Monthly offering to more than 350 Phones 4u stores across the UK, while it is already available at Virgin Mobile Stores, The Link, concessions in WHSmith stores and The Carphone Warehouse, as well as via the Virgin Mobile website.
Phones 4u will be making promotional offers of up to 6 months double airtime on 18-month contracts and 400 free minutes and 400 free texts for £32 a month on a 12-month contract or £30 on an 18-month contract.
Meanwhile, Stelios Haji-Ioannou's will launch his no frills mobile operation, easyMobile.com on the high street today in a partnership with the Link retail outlet.
The Link will offer an easyMobile handset, with £10 of pre pay airtime for as little as £24.99, the company said.
Initial handsets available via easyMobile in store and online will be the Nokia 1600, 3220 and 5140i models as well as the Motorola Razr V3 Blue.
