German watchdog cuts mobile tariffs to less than Euro 10 cents

The German telecoms watchdog Bundesnetzagentur, has announced plans to cut the rates mobile phone operators can charge for transferring calls from fixed-line to mobile networks, according to the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung.
The move will see such transfers cut to less that Euro 10 cents, according to the paper which cites watchdog head Matthias Kurth.
Deutsche Telekom's T-Mobile and Vodafone's German business currently charge 11 euro cents per minute. Royal KPN NV's E-Plus and O2's German unit charge 12.4 cents, the newspaper said.
