UK wireless broadband provider Freedom4 Communications said Tuesday it has acquired wifi roaming service provider Bozii, giving its users access to over 40,000 hotspots.

As a result of the deal, the wifi aggregator will be renamed Freedom4 Wifi.

Financial details were not disclosed.

“The acquisition of Bozii and the reseller agreements are important steps in the implementation of our wireless broadband services,” said Brendan O’Rourke, chief operating officer at Freedom4. “We’ve been working with Bozii as a partner since October 2007 and recognise the important part that wifi plays in the roll-out of integrated wireless services – both in terms of accessing the WiMAX infrastructure and introducing new customers to Freedom4 across the UK.

Meanwhile, the WiMAX player also said it has signed two reseller deals as part of its WiMAX roll-out in Manchester and Warwick, UK. Mumtel will begin by reselling services in the Manchester area, while Konnex Networks will be the first reseller in Warwick.
