Japanese manufacturer NEC has partnered with France-based MVNE Transatel to explore M2M service opportunities in Europe.

The partnership enables NEC to use Transatel’s capabilities as an Mobile Virtual Network Enabler or Aggregator to deploy and operate connectivity management and end-to-end M2M services for enterprises.

“NEC and Transatel customers reach across a broad range of business verticals that can expand business through the use of M2M services in areas that include the construction, industrial, automotive and consumer electronics fields. This agreement will enable NEC to provide its customers with immediate access to M2M services throughout Europe,” said Shigeru Okuya, VP and senior general manager, NEC.
