The annual Broadband Infovision Awards have once again taken place at the Broadband World Forum, honouring technology innovations from 12 categories across the broadband sector. Among the winners, announced at a gala ceremony at the Renaissance Amsterdam Hotel, network specialist Alcatel-Lucent managed to pick up two awards.

This year’s judging panel was made up of members of Broadband 100, the industry group including senior leaders from companies such as Telstra, Deutsche Telekom, Orange and Volvo Cars.

“Now in its 14th year, Broadband Infovision Awards once again honours the remarkable work of the broadband providers that have made a positive impact towards industry movements like virtualization, big data and the internet of things,” James McGough, Director of Broadband World Forum and a founding member of Broadband 100, said. “The judges found it very difficult to pick from the high calibre of entries – some of which were highly contested.”

“After a lot of deliberating, we finally selected the winners we felt demonstrated first-class innovation and excellence in creating a globally connected society. We would like to congratulate all of the winners and thank everyone who took part in the awards.”
