Mobiltel extends 900/1800MHz spectrum licence
The initial proposal was met with strong opposition

Telekom Austria’s Bulgarian subsidiary Mobiltel, said Tuesday it has extended its licence for 900MHz and 1800MHz spectrum to 2024. The company paid €30.6m for the extension.

Mobiltel holds a licence for 2 x 11.2MHz in the 900MHz spectrum band and 2 x 10MHz in the 1800MHz spectrum band.

In addition to the one-off prolongation cost, Mobiltel must pay an annual spectrum fee of €2.2m. The spectrum has a maturity of ten years and the new licence runs until June 8, 2024.
