Spain-based operator Telefonica saw its net profit increase by 65.6 per cent in the first nine months of the year, to reach €8.8bn. Revenues were up 6 per cent to €44.28bn. The operator ended the quarter with 282 million customers, a yearly growth of 4.9 per cent.
