Nokia and Skype have really done a great thing. But some of the nokia users have complaints about their battery issues. I think its because Skype and wifi both works on the same time and when you connect your VoIP connection then it consume more mobile resources. But no offense its really better than those Java applications of SkyPe. As their are officially launced by SkyPe it self. Hope it will be get better in future.

I use skype modile on my GSM handset "Samsung Omnia Pro GT-B7320" which has a Windows Modile 6.1 Standard OS. My experiance is , when ever this application is running in the device , Handset battary runs out quickly. May be the application tries to access its server on internet via GPRS/3G/WiFi etc. That drains out the handset battary fast. Hope this has been kept in mind in these devices.
