The Egyptian arm of Middle Eastern operator Etisalat has invested in revenue assurance software from WeDo Technologies

The Egyptian arm of Middle Eastern operator Etisalat has invested in revenue assurance software in a rip and replace of its existing system.

The operator has deployed WeDo Technologies’ Raid software to replace an existing solution from a direct competitor of the vendor. It said it wanted to transform its revenue assurance solution for better operational efficiency and more control over revenue risks.

The implementation was divided into three phases: usage control, platform integrity and rating validation. The first two phases were implemented successfully, according to WeDo, while the third phase is ongoing.

“Given our strategy to be the leading operator in technology and innovation, we selected Raid to boost our revenue assurance capabilities matching the speed of business”, said Khalid AlMansouri, CIO at Etisalat Egypt.

Etisalat Egypt is the second largest subsidiary of Etisalat Group which covers 15 countries worldwide and has over 140 million subscribers. The operator said it now has over 27 per cent of the country’s market share and claims that it was the first operator to introduce 3.5G services in the Egyptian market.
