This is like looking at the early days of mobile phones and saying 'so many manufacturers are making cellphones there's no profit in it'! Good luck Sun - who apparently has has it's eyes on a 'bigger prize' - I think their eyes may be too big for their stomach; Sun haven't done anything in the world of consumer electronics and Apple are really rather good at it.
